For most of my career I've been a producer, in one form or another. The setting keeps changing; the work doesn't. Take something ambitious, get very different people to build it together, and make sure it actually gets delivered.

The through-line

Cultural events and shows, then co-founding and scaling two companies in China e-commerce and data, and now leading IT projects at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Different worlds, one job: getting very different people aligned and getting the result out the door. The technology is rarely the hard part. Adoption is.

Lately my attention goes to what AI and new technology genuinely offer: where they help, and just as importantly, how we use them responsibly. The possibilities and the compliance side both. I don't think organisations can afford to focus on only one.
